🏠 Exercise 1: Draw and Label Your Home (20 mins)
Dual Coding:
- Draw a simple floor plan of your house/flat
- Label each room in French with correct genders: la cuisine, le salon, ma chambre, etc.
- Add 3 pieces of furniture in each room with articles: un lit, une armoire, le tapis
- Write 3 sentences describing your home: "Chez moi nous avons huit pièces. Ma chambre est au premier étage. Dans ma chambre j'ai un grand lit."
🛋️ Exercise 2: Design Your Dream Bedroom (15 mins)
Vocabulary + IL Y A Practice:
- Write a description of your ideal bedroom (8-10 sentences)
- Include: size, colors, furniture, decoration
- Use "il y a" structures: "Il y a un grand lit confortable. Il y a beaucoup de posters sur les murs."
- Example: "Ma chambre idéale est grande et moderne. Les murs sont bleus. Il y a un lit énorme avec une couette rouge..."
📍 Exercise 3: Where I Live Presentation (15 mins)
Speaking Practice:
- Prepare a 1-minute presentation about where you live
- Include: type of home, number of rooms, your bedroom, what you like/don't like
- Example start: "J'habite dans une maison à Londres. Chez moi nous avons sept pièces..."
- Practice saying it aloud 3 times
